I became a social worker for two reasons; I have a natural propensity to talk to people therapeutically and I enjoy helping people. Traditionally social workers help people to get where they want to go in their lives and assist them in becoming more resourceful in dealing with stresses in their life. I provide counseling, support for my clients, assist in the process of clients leaning how to support themselves, and offer them the tools they need to become more proficient at navigating the environment we live in.

 As a clinical social worker I am devoted to helping people work through challenging, stressful and difficult periods in their life. Working together with the client, creates an environment where the client becomes able to gather tools necessary to reduce or alleviate those issues that are most troubling in a client’s life.   I have knowledge and experience needed as a licensed and registered clinical social work intern.

    As a of Florida Gulf Coast University alumna where I received my Bachelor of Social Work then moving on to Barry University where I receive my Master of Social Work. I hold a certificate for anger management though NAMA.  Many of my social work colleagues have called me “a great asset to humanity.”  Also, saying I have an inherent understanding of people's needs and how to help them move ahead, that my self-awareness and acceptance of my own eccentricities and flaws make it easier for me to accept others.  Accepting who you are is the most important thing and is the beginning step.      

          
I am trained to use an array of treatment practices. My work repertoire includes adult, teens, individuals, (married and single), anger management, substance abuse, marriage and family, to include optimizing development of parenting skills. Alternative treatment practices can be discussed. 

   My message to you is, "Don't put off till tomorrow what you can do today. Attack your problems with vigor so when new problems arise you will have the old problems resolved and able to take on the new challenges head on. Most importantly, always have a goal in sight and be certain it is attainable."
